While at sleep-away camp, many children have treats stolen, and it takes them quite some time to figure out who the culprit is. Finally, the thief is identified as a raccoon but the youngsters still can't come up with a way to get it to stop eating their food. Each double-page spread contains a daily diary entry by camper Peter Moroni informing readers of which child has had what taken. Every page shows either glimpses or full views of the the animal for readers to locate.
